Suizan Kuroda's Plant specimens

Two tree species from Kumano (Mie Pref).

Plant specimens collected by Mr. Suizan Kuroda in Edo era (more than 200 yrs ago). He served as a doctor under the Kishu Clan. He was also a naturalist, majoring Honzo-gaku (Japanese materia medica). Collecting localities of the specimens are Tohoku district (northeastern region of Japan), Mt. Hakusan (Ishikawa Prefecture), Mt. Kouyasan (Wakayama Prefecture), Kumano (Mie Prefecture) and so on.
