Third Exhibition Room

-Evolution and the diversity of life-

Various creatures live on the earth. It is believed that ther are two to three million species living on the earth. Each has its own form, its own life style and its own room in nature. Life first appeared in the sea at about 3,500 million years ago on this planet. It is believed that all the creatures descend from one of these primitive organisms The living things existing on the earth today have formed as they are after a continuous evolution throughout those millions of years' time process. We must remember that the man himself is one of the descendants of these evolutionary successions and a member of the nature.
We display in this room various animals, insects, plants and marine life which represent life on the earth today. Let's study the physical structures, the mode of life, and the evolutional process of those species.
